Winter Plans?

Post by dermy on Wed Aug 06, 2014 10:22 am

Anyone got any winter plans for 2014? Since it gets pretty harsh out here I have no clue what invert things [other then the usual Dermestid beetle things] I will be doing this winter.

I will be doing an Over-Feeding Challenge again this year, it will be my 5th One, I've been doing them since Winter 09, Which is about 5 years ago. Can't wait to see how much food I can get through each colony within the 6-7 months winter usually lasts around here.

Update on the Over-Feeding Challenge:

I will be splitting the colony into two, one of just larvae and the other of just beetles, hopefully there are a lot of both so the colonies will both grow Razz The only Dermestes lardarius colony that will be used is the larvae.

I will not be splitting up the Attagenus unicolor colony for the over-feeding challenge.
