Post by Vespula squamosa on Wed Feb 10, 2010 5:27 pm

I was checking on Guenevere, my hissing cockroach, last night, and noticed that her belly is big and round. We recently put her boyfriend Lancelot, sis's hisser, in with her...so... I think she's going to have some babies!!!! lotsa little hisser babies!!! Very Happy

Guess what?Remember how i made a diffrent larder beetle queen?Well her larvae are still going!I got the beetle back oh it's been about 4 months but i noticed some larvae so the eggs hatched but they ate the food source all up and were forced[all but one!] to shed and shrink instead of grow. The one that didn't do that seemed to be the dominite one and is in the pupae stage![It's still in the larvae skin but like a mealworm Pupae it wiggles if provocted!]I'm so excited! All them are in the same kind of tube that i housed Eve and her tiny empire in.Can't wait till they are adults and can breed.
