Stowaway ant worker

Post by Luke on Thu May 28, 2015 5:39 am

Hi guys,

I found this little girl running around my fresh vegetables while I was unpacking them! Clearly, she looked twice the size of a Lasius niger worker (cooked grain of rice for size comparison) and looked well fed. I know not the greatest video, but any who her queen might be? She's a very relaxed little thing.

Well It is kind of hard to see, but my guess would be some type of Formica Worker.

Don't worry about it. Formica flies usually in July [for me at least]
