Bombus is the whole species of Bumble Bees, Just like Dermestidae is the Whole family of Dermestids.

I still have a Queen in my basement, this one can fly, maybe someday If I find a Bombus Nest I will see if I can get this one to free-range, since I don't know if she would right now, and I don't want to risk it.

It's just the way nature is.

By now I think I might have a chance to at least find a small nest, but where to find them is the hard part.

I've seen two, one start-off [my dad killed sad ] and one really big Bombus impatients nest with probably 100 workers [that is huge for any bumble bee nest] They were in a friends shed, and he let them finish their Cycle, I'd say they had at least 20-40 Queens hatch out for the next season. I think that is pretty impressive.

You have to know this though: Bumble bee colonies aren't like your Ant Colonies, they don't get as big and only last a Single Season, then they die sad

Yes but it does have it's advantages if you think about it.

Could you imagine Over-Wintering A Wasp Colony Surprised How you'd even feed them when they wake up would be a mystery. I think it is good that they last one Season, then you get a big break and then another Season which is just like another opportunity.

I gave my queen a worker, to maybe prompt her to start nest construction soon! Will also need more flowers.

No unlike ants they don't have such a big colony scent. You can even put a completely different species in with another.

Two queens I think will fight.
