Long time no see!!

Post by SpiderSam on Thu Apr 23, 2015 1:18 pm

Hello Everyone im back after my few weeks of Terror trying to get my crickets to lay me eggs Cant figure out why 1. the rest of my three beetles are not dead yet(happy that they are living for just about 6 months but at the same time mad that my sources lied xD) 2. THEY ARE NOT PUPATING YET WTF.... hopefully next month >.< on top of that Venoms in the middle of being a bad puppy 5 months old and he decided to do his own things.....plus on top of that miss Weazel (Norfolk terrier) is very sick and we don't have the money to see a vet so hopefully she is just very sick and it will pass by and be fine or this may be her final moments.... and Cinnamon shes fine just being a pet rock like most G.roseas Very Happy

Hi SpiderSam

Good to have you back. I think my crickets have been laying eggs. The females keep sticking their long black back bits into the soil, like jabbing at it.

True on that I prefer fleas tho they are easy to get rid of Perfect home remedy is
3 lemons (gotta peel em)
medium pot of boiling water
put the 3 lemons in the boiling water and when the boiling water is at a heavy boil turn it down to like 1 or 2 (stove thingy) and let it simmer for 24hrs the next day cool it down put it in a spray bottle and spray ur dog/s with lemon fresh water the fleas and even ticks HATE lemons they will simply die and u sweep them off the ground xD

Worms on the other hand u got to start with 6 pills (9kg or more) open the capsules (which are a B#TCH to open) pour the powder on the food and watch them poop worms out all day and repeat on the 10th day until they are all gone >.<

Haha that's just like me with Dermestids, one day I want to have as many different species as I can. Such as Dermestes atar [like myrm] Dermestes maculata, Attagenus polio [those white spots are cool!] and a few Anthrenus species.

Awesome! I have 3 ball pythons Smile They make lovely begginer snakes. I'm m not really interested in boas, pythons are my interest. Would love a black head python at some point, however, my next snake will hopefully be of the arboreal variety:)

Re: Long time no see!!

Now see im not very knowledge when it comes to different types of snakes I barely know whats out there for sub species...like I know Boas, Pythons cobras, kings and so one but I don't know the different types of boas like Rainbow boas... so normally I pick a certain species and search up the sub species of them xD and a black head python!! aren't those from Australia? I try to stay away from Australian animals most are Beautiful but are out to kill you !!! are they Constrictors... (I would assume since that's what makes a python unless there are pythons that have fangs) im clueless as u can tell xD

Not a lot of people are interested in Boas! only reason I want the Brazilian and Columbian is because in certain lights the way it hits the scales makes a rainbow aura I think its pretty!!!

The best thing I find to do, is as you say to research a specific species you're interested in. They are indeed from Australia, however, they're nonvenomous. You're right they are constrictors - they eat lizards, snakes and mammals in the wild. I'm not ready for one yet as I've read they can be feisty

Rainbow boas are very pretty with that iridescent rainbow sheen that hits them in the right light Very Happy

yeah that's what I did with the pythons first I just searched pythons and then searched beginner pythons and so on!! I found the rainbow boas by typing in on mistake rainbow snake xD and thought it was the most beautiful snake ever.... yet again I find all snakes beautiful!!!

That's good that they are non-venomous! that means u can hold them if need/want xD and most snakes I heard as younglings xD they get feisty im sure the more u spend time and hold them im sure the nicer they CAN get!!!

Exactly Sam, the more you handle them when they're young the quicker they get used to you and start to tolerate handling.

Dermy should get a corn snake Smile
