Ant Mating Flights 2015

Ant Nuptial Flights 2015

May 20th/2015- Sask. Canada- Camponatus
Flew [don't know the exact species but my guess is Herculeanus]
July 15/2015-  Lasius niger flies
August 8/2015 Sask Canada:
August 8/2015- Lasius neoniger Flies
August 8/2015- Formica sp. Flies

I know around here it will be some time before ants start having their Nuptial Flights but i thought I'd post this anyway. Post what species [if possible] and the day they flew. I will then add them to the list.

Yes. Formica rufa fly at about this time of year but most British species fly June-September.

That's Lasius Niger, I think we have camponotus down south as I could have swore I've seen workers by Haven and in Cornwall.
Also AbtsBritania YouTube shows him finding some

Camponotus are not natively found in the UK. If they have been found then they have ben introduced.
