SpiderSam wrote:They do have a small odor but honestly the fluckers criket diet (orange cubes) hide the smell a tad bit its really not that bad until u put ur nose in there

So im just doing a lousy clean up because as u can tell theres a lot of dead ones :c but they seem to like it I can hear them walking around they sound like pop rocks xD and yes these are babies 1/4"

Sounds like Dermestes species then, I've smelt both [weird I know] and It's about the same "Smell" as the crickets have. Your Colony has to be pretty large and active though.

I hope they do well for you Very Happy

yea especially since they are only 2 weeks old they need lots of food to molt and grow xD now all I need is some moss of some sort and a container with a lid and to add a screen so the crickets don't make a mess

Well its something I saw on another forum apparently the crickets like to dig and they make a mess so by adding a screen the female can stick her ovipositor(her egg delivery stinger thingy) in the ground through the screen but at the same time she wont make a mess and also other crickets don't harm or anything like that xD

When they have wings then they are adults capable of breeding. Females will have three pointy things out their Abdomen whereas males have two.

From my understanding Myrm yes all females have the 3rd pointy thing on the female is the superlong part right in the middle that's where the eggs come out its long and pointy so the female can stick her eggs in the dirt Very Happy without digging it up like reptiles do xD
