Nice enclosure, I might need to lock my Dermestid beetle colony up like that soon!

I think he does It as a safety precaution. Just in case someone opened it up. I don't think a scorpion like that can open it up by itself. If they can then human-kind is done!

That was I thought I was freaking out thinking that those scorpions are getting out on their own xD

But that makes total sense to lock them up from other humans

yeah tell me about it I raised a pregnant dog who had 6 puppies who are part coyote pitt bull boxer shepherds and tell me about smart ... we had a barrier 3 times their size and they climbed over it using the wall >.< kept one Venom hes too smart hes stupid

I currently have 25 scorpions. Looking to add 6 more after the March show and my new enclosures. Several of them are HOT species and not to be dealt with lightly. I use the locks as Dermy mentioned, to keep people out. It also is a great system to make sure I close all the lids after feeding as 90% of escapees occur during feeding or maintenance. With the species I deal with, that would be defined as BAD Shocked.
